We currently share food with over 600 men, women, and children a month.

Sixteen percent of monthly visitors are between the ages of 60 and 95. Purchasing perscription medication and trying to live on Social Security is impossible for them.

Once a month we deliver to fifteen elderly, in South Portland only, who meet our requirements but are incapacitated and unable to come to the Cupboard.

Other visitors are single mothers, the working poor, thjose who are temporarily out of a job, and families facing catastrophic medical bills. The majority of these families do not come to us every month; only when they are in need.

Within these families, fifty seven percent are children under the age of 12.
