An evening honoring Raymond "Ray" H. Frost on the occasion of his 84th birthday was held on Friday, November 14, at the Yankee Squire Restaurant in South Portland. Ray was made a Paul Harris Fellow. Two trees have been presented on behalf of our Rotary Club, one in front of Cape Elizabeth Town Hall and the other in Mill Creek Park with plaques on them commemorating Ray Frost. Ray was presented a pin for 29 years of perfect attendance.
Dancing rounded out the evening.
J.B. Maxwell presented a new American Flag to the club.
We donated Thanksgiving Day Baskets to the Cape Elizabeth Community Health Services.
The Senior citizens Christmas Party was held on December 17.
The Christmas Tree Sale profit was $4,725.
President Les Waters presented the Charter to Cub Pack 1130 which we sponsor.
A joint service club Meeting on June 3, at Mahoney Junior High School in South Portland. Governor James B. Longley was the speaker.
Elizabeth Wildes, a South Portland graduate, was selected by District 779 for a one year Rotary Scholarship in England.
The District Conference was held in Quebec City from June 24 27.
