Second Tuesday of every month throughout the year​
Members help prepare and serve the dinner meal and clean up the kitchen and dining room afterward. This year a few members from the Portland Club have joined us every week.
Family Fun Day
June 15, 2013
Members of our club always help in the planning and execution of this event at Ft. Williams. Every year the club seels fried dough at this event and it is always fun, raises a little money & gives us exposure in the community.

Annual Lobster Bake
Glorious weather, full house and lots of good food and camaraderie.
Members planned, shopped, cooked & cleaned up for this event.

First Annual Spring Point Classic 5K Race
This event was a huge success. It raised a good deal of money and enthusiasm in the community. Almost every member either participated in the race or volunteered in some capacity. This event has great growth potential.

Work Day at the Fire Barn in Ft. Williams
Members repaired tree racks and completed needed work on the trailer.
This was followed by a cookout in the picnic shelter.

Cleanup at Bug Light
Many members gathered to pick up trash at the park. We do this at least twice a year as well as projects as needed throughout the year (like painting).
The Bug Light Committee has also been working on new signage for the Lighthouse.

Open Lighthouse Day
Bug Light was one of many lighthouses open for public tours on this day. Members helped in shifts and saw a record number of visitors to the lighthouse

Theater Night at Portland Players.
“Jesus Christ Superstar” was a huge hit and we were able to raise more $ for scholarships. We had lots of in-kind donations of food & wine. We also had some wonderful raffle gifts donated and the Interact Club of SP did a great job selling raffle tickets the night of the event.

Work Day @Partners for World Health Warehouse
Club members and Interact students from Cape Elizabeth HS helped with sorting donated medical supplies. This was followed by a pizza party.

Annual Tree Lot Sale
Another successful year in spite of the short selling season and a major blizzard! Almost every member gets involved and it is fun for the club and the community. In spite of more and more competition, we continue to have loyal customers.
January 31st & February 1st, 2014
WinterFest
Our club collaborated with the city of South Portland and this was a huge success. It generated lots of good publicity for the club and goodwill in the community. This was another event in which almost all of our members were involved in the planning and execution. This event also has great growth potential.

Many members attended the Portland Sunrise Club Fundraiser
Our club supports this effort every year to benefit the Maine Children’s Cancer Fund.

Outdoor Cookout
Tony generously offered his home for this event to thank the club for all their hard work on the Tree Lot and WinterFest. It was a fun evening of good food and camaraderie.

Stuff the Bus
Members of our Club worked with members of the South Portland Sunrise Club to collect and sort food donations. These donations went to Judy’s Pantry, the new SMCC pantry and the pantry at the CE First Congregational Church.

Senior Citizens Luncheon
We do this every year for seniors referred to us by the social worker at the SP Housing Authority. We will be holding i at SMCC again this year.

VA2K Walk & Roll Event
This event helps raise awareness of the Homeless Veteran’s Initiative started by our club last year. We have allocated funds for beds and a bus pass program that can provide transportation to and from doctors appointments, grocery shopping, etc. Members have also collected new household items for use when setting up apartments for homeless veterans.

We started this tradition last year and hope to continue it going forward.

Public Works Luncheon
We put this on every year to thank the folks in the SP Public Works Dept.
This was an especially busy year for them and they also were a great help with WinterFest. The luncheon will be held at the SP Community Center.

We will be holding this event at the Snow Squall Restaurant in South Portland to thank all of the members who made such great contributions this year.
